Even though the memories I have of my grandmother are from my childhood, I will never forget the truly amazing person she was. She always put my priorities before her own, and she would do anything to make me smile. One of the memories I have of her was when I tried to teach her to say the word “battery.” She would attempt to say the word, then immediately laugh at her pronunciation of it. But that was the kind of person she was…She didn’t take life too seriously, and she was the happiest when she made others happy. I hope that one day, I’ll be as loving and carefree as her. ???????????Looking back in my old photo albums, I notice that in the majority of my baby pictures I am in the arms of my grandma. It seems forever ago that I was so small, but she held me in her arms with a smile on her face. Staying in China when I was really young was often scary. It was a completely new place with a different language and culture. However, her kind eyes and warm smile had always made me feel safe and reminded me that she would always be there for me. ??????????? To this day, I know that she will always be watching over not only me, but my whole family. I will always remember her unconditional love for all of the members of our family. I can tell just how wonderful a mother she was by the way all of her children turned out, and I can only hope that one day I’ll be half the person that she was.
