前晚10时许，在三水广三高速与健力宝路交叉口附近的街心公园，一名男子被发现死在草地上，左手边放着一根白色注射器，在他身旁一名小女孩正在熟睡。随后，警察赶到现场确认，男子是注射毒品过量死亡。一旁的孩子是他的女儿，因担心她也被注射了毒品，警方立即将其送医院检查。
死者的妻子、哥哥和老乡都赶来了现场。记者了解到，死者姓杜，今年35岁，贵州沿河县人，平时在三水做电焊工。妻子和老乡都表示，杜某此前曾有吸毒史，最近听说没吸了，没想到还是偷偷给自己注射毒品。
昨日，三水警方向记者证实了死者的身份，并表示已将小女孩送回家中由死者妻子照顾。警方称，目前将该公园列为重点管治区域，在工作中加大巡查力度，杜绝吸毒现象。
